Templates · Engineering delivery dashboard
Commits, pull requests and bugs from GitHub and Linear, live
Weekly commits and open bugs, so delivery problems show up before the sprint review. CI success rate isn't a built-in chart.
Build this dashboard freeNo card needed. A few minutes to the first dashboard, including creating the read-only key.
What's on the dashboard
- Weekly commits
- Open issues and pull requests, once the preview shows the count
- Issues created per day (first page of results)
Connecting GitHub
- On GitHub open Settings → Developer settings → Personal access tokens → Fine-grained tokens.
- Generate a new token named “tlly” with an expiry date.
- Repository access: Only select repositories.
- Permissions: Read-only for Metadata, Issues, Pull requests and Actions; nothing else.
Fine-grained tokens with read-only permissions can't push code or change settings. More on GitHub →
Connecting Linear
- In Linear open Settings → Account → Security & access.
- Under Personal API keys click New API key, name it “tlly”.
- Choose Read access (and limit it to the teams you want to chart, if offered).
- Copy the key (it starts with lin_api_).
A key with Read access can't create or change issues. More on Linear →
Set it up in one sentence
Paste this into the tlly chat after signing up, or give it to Claude, Cursor or any assistant connected to tlly:
Using tlly, chart weekly commits from GitHub (use the GITHUB_TOKEN secret) and issues created per day from Linear (use the LINEAR_KEY secret). Add open issues once a preview shows the count.
