Templates · Support backlog alert
See the support queue growing before customers complain
Open tickets from Zendesk or Intercom, with red when the backlog gets too long. First response time only when the helpdesk already reports it as a number. There is no median.
Build this dashboard freeNo card needed. A few minutes to the first dashboard, including creating the read-only key.
What's on the dashboard
- Open tickets, red above your normal backlog
- First response time, when your helpdesk reports it as a number
- Tickets solved per day, after the preview shows the fields
Connecting Zendesk
- In Zendesk Admin Center open Apps and integrations → APIs → Zendesk API; enable token access and add a token named “tlly”.
- Zendesk uses Basic auth: base64-encode [email protected]/token:YOUR_TOKEN (e.g. printf '%s' '[email protected]/token:TOKEN' | base64).
- Store the encoded string as the value.
API tokens act as the user they authenticate as. Use an agent account with a light (read-mostly) role. More on Zendesk →
Connecting Intercom
- In Intercom open Settings → Integrations → Developer Hub and create an app named “tlly”.
- Under Authentication, edit permissions and keep only the Read permissions you need (conversations, admins, tags).
- Copy the access token.
Leave every write permission unticked. More on Intercom →
Set it up in one sentence
Paste this into the tlly chat after signing up, or give it to Claude, Cursor or any assistant connected to tlly:
Using tlly, chart open tickets and tickets solved per day from Zendesk (use the ZENDESK_AUTH secret), after a preview shows the fields. If first reply time is already a number on the ticket, chart that too and turn it red above 4 hours.
